{{tlg}} (abbreviating "[t]emplate [l]ink (with) [g]eneral (options)") is a generalised version of the {{tl}} ("template link") template. It can be used to replace or implement {{tl}} and related templates such as {{tlb}}, {{tlx}}, etc.
