Hi, how do I create an appendix? I want to remove some of the content of the Building a non-US boglehead portfolio page and put it into appendices. thanks, --DJN 11:39, 19 July 2019 (UTC)

We follow Wikipedia guidelines, which has much experience in this area. First, I checked Wikipedia policy on the possible use of Subpages, but use for permanent content is not allowed (the content is meant to be part of the encyclopedia).
Is there enough content to create a stand-alone page? You could put the content on a new page and title it appropriately.
Or, perhaps it is only a few paragraphs to supplement the main description? That would be the Notes section (which is actually an appendix, see: Standard appendices and footers). For example, the US retirement plan 403(b) page has extensive supplemental notes.
Not related to your question - I retitled your page. "Boglehead" is a proper name and should be capitalized in the page title. --LadyGeek 13:17, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the guidance, I will follow your suggestion and use the notes in accordance with the Wiki guidelines. --DJN 13:26, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
What next? I have reached a point where it would be useful to have some editorial feedback. I think that the paper is a reasonable attempt to give a non expert newbie an easy to read introduction to EU investing BH style. I would like to move the "Sample portfolios" into this page from where it is now. Any feedback and suggestions are most welcome. --DJN 11:15, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
Do you mean to copy the accumulating and distributing example portfolios from Sample Portfolios into the respective accumulating and distribution sample portfolio sections here? That can be done with a template, i.e., make a master copy, then insert the content in both pages. If that is your intent, I can do that. (I have much experience with templates). Once that is done, I would suggest starting a discussion thread in the Non-US investing forum to obtain the members' feedback. --LadyGeek 01:52, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi, yes I would like to place the example portfolios in my new section. I was also thinking that perhaps it would be better to have the sample portfolios in one place only? If that's not ok then I would appreciate your help and ask you to make a master copy and insert copies in both locations as you have offered. Thank you very much for your help. --DJN 02:12, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Yes, we can certainly create a dedicated page for the sample portfolios. It would be the EU equivalent of Lazy portfolios. To prevent delays to publish this page, I have created the master (template) copy and inserted copies into your page and EU investing. This will allow you (and the other EU editors) time to properly prepare a complete series of example portfolios. I think the EU portfolios are closer matched to the Canadian wiki as Simple index portfolios and Complex portfolios. Once the page has been developed, the existing pages can link to the new portfolio page. --LadyGeek 02:40, 24 July 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I have amended the draft page to address some if not all of the comments I have so far received. I haven't included some where it either will take some considerable additional work and expansion or where I believe that the changes aren't warranted. I think it is probably good enough to be published now. --DJN 12:55, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
Yes check.png Done I have moved the page as requested and have incorporated the templates and category for non-US investors. The sections "See also" and "External links" have no content, but I left them as placeholders for possible updates later. --LadyGeek 13:15, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
Muchos gracias, vielen dank, obrigado! thanks for doing that, I will follow up on the missing bits in due course. --DJN 13:20, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi again, the current location for this page is quite difficult to find, I think that the location for the new page should be under Outline of non-US domiciles referenced in "Introduction to investing from outside of the US" thanks. --DJN 09:19, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
Yes check.png Done The page has been added to the outline.--Blbarnitz 11:28, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────Hi, I would like to add a new global aggregate accumulating stock ETF from Vanguard to the EU suggested portfolio table template. Trouble is I cannot find the template and I assume that I simply adjust that in the normal way when I find it? --DJN 08:09, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

Here is the template you wish to edit: Template:Accumulating portfolio --Blbarnitz 14:02, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi Ted, these amendments are great. I wonder would you consider including a short note for those investors who can take advantage of a tax treaty with the US? --DJN 09:03, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
