How to transfer a rollover IRA with CDs

Post by Hulahoop60 »

I have a rollover IRA at a brokerage that I am interested in transferring to Fidelity. I purchased a CD ladder within the IRA that begins maturing in September and every 3 months through March 2024. Is it possible to transfer the IRA & CDs without liquidating the CDS, or do I have to wait until they mature? They are all FDIC insured and I'd prefer not to sell them. Thank you.

The CDs purchased at another broker should transfer in kind. I've done partial transfers of brokered CDs several times with no issues.

Why wait until Monday to call? Doesn't Fidelity have 24/7 customer support?
