My wife changed jobs back in 2021 and has close to $34k in her previous employers 401k account hosted by ADP.
Her other 401ks (along with the current job) are all unified in her current 401k at Fidelity.
We would like to move the money in ADP (mykplan) 401k to her current Fidelity 401k. What would be the process to achieve this?
I have delayed this enough that its proving to be expensive (the fees in ADP is quite exorbitant). Avoiding moving to IRA (traditiona/roth) to prevent any pro-rata rule complexity (I do both backdoor/mega-backdoor roth ira).
Thanks in advance.

Only the current plan can tell you specifically but a common sequence would be:vivekian123 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 1:05 pm We would like to move the money in ADP (mykplan) 401k to her current Fidelity 401k. What would be the process to achieve this?
1. She fills out a form either paper or online requesting a direct rollover
2. The current plan sells everything and distributes the proceeds as a check to the new custodian fbo her
3. The check is sent to her
4. The check is deposited in the current plan by mailing or possibly electronic deposit
It's possible the current plan would send the check directly so be prepared for that.
