Getting Good Price for Brass
Getting Good Price for Brass
DM has a decent amount of brass fireplace stuff. Any advice on how to get a good price? Thanks.

If what is made out of brass is usable and in demand, craigslist. You'd also want to use a magnet to be sure what's brass and what's iron. Things like fireplace tools are often either partly brass with iron pieces screwed on or brass plated to match the rest of the set.

Go to Ebay to find out what your items are selling for. Go to Ebay and enter in the search window a description of your items something like "brass fireplace tool set" then click search. This will take you to a page where all items that fit your description are listed for sale. To find out what the items actually sold for scroll down to "sold items" on the left side of the page. This will give you a pretty good idea of what you can get for your items. You might sell them on Ebay (about 15% commission), Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. Some flea markets/antique malls will sell your items on consignment. Don't expect too much. You are selling second hand items.
Slow and steady wins the race.
