You're right, I was using the 52 week high.

Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
Down: roughly (6.9%) YTD. 73/27, Stocks about 43% US / 24% International / 6% Commodities, and Fixed Income is about 76% Stable Value Fund (up .41% YTD) and 4% Int Treasuries, 20% ST Treasuries (mostly in a fully vested cash pension fund; I have no choice regarding how that's invested)
My international component is a bit lower than usual due to tactical adjustments, and that mostly went into commodities a month ago (which I normally don't carry.) Yes, that is market timing/performance chasing (limited to 10% of my portfolio).
(Edit, numbers updated from original post to correct for data entry error.)

If the S&P 500 closes at 4440 today (it's there right now with just under two hours of trading left), then I'll be even from Jan 1.Weathering wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 11:03 pm Down 1% and really wishing the S&P 500 would get back above 4440 (approximately my break even point from Jan 1, 2022). Energy stocks/funds helped me a lot.
Haven't looked at my account balances in weeks, but will do a quick sum this weekend.
Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
This is definitely the most volatile start of the year I've experienced so far. Massive portfolio fluctuations, but am currently up 11%. I am 130% in stocks (allocated across three positions, one of which is domestic and the other two international). 46% of the options leverage was purchased between March 11-15, and are LEAPs expiring between 2023 and January 2024.
Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
My networth has recouped most of its YTD losses, although it is thanks to new inflows. So it is down about 1.5% with new inflows and down about 2.5% without inflows.

Down 20% in my main strategy, which is completely correlated to the market - 3/4 of my portfolio is allocated here.
Up 15% in my uncorrelated model which is fairly uncorrelated with the market - 1/4 of my portfolio is allocated here.
So down around 12% in total which I'm pretty okay with.

Int'l and TTL Bond funds are the biggest culprits. Small cap value is still negative but the best performer, so far.

Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
I’m down a few thousand $ in tax deferred but not much. I’m fixed income heavy - mostly treasuries and stable value. My Fidelity IRA and taxable (FSKAX and VTI) are up because I…. Did you know what! (Bought dips). But in the aggregate they are only up $745.00.
My total net worth is up $37k though for the year (after taxes), even with the unrealized stock losses. I’m easily on track for $2M net worth by 12/31/22. Which I’m still pleased about, I don’t care. It’s a lot to me, although less than it used to be.

Re: 2022 YTD Performance - 02/28/2022
YTD (31 March 2022) returns of a few 60/40 funds for your viewing pleasure:
-5.66% VSMGX Vanguard LifeStrategy Moderate Growth fund, has US + International (no change since 28 Feb!)
-5.60% VBIAX Vanguard Balanced Index fund, has US only and no international
-4.35% DGSIX DFA Global Allocation 60/40 I fund, a small-cap and value tilted 60/40 asset allocation
As has been the case for a while the performance of a 60/40 portfolio varies by quite a bit depending on how the 60/40 is constituted.
Also note:
+0.43% AVUV Avantis US Small Cap Value ETF

Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
Retirement Investments down about (4.1%) as of 3/31 EOD. 70/30 (FI is mostly in Stable Value Fund, Stocks are tilted to value.)
Our RE (stake in 2 properties plus our house) is up about 8.5-9% if I average the RE sites. Total value of properties is now about the same as investments, so net worth is increasing, though we're a little less liquid.
Also, the business cash position & gross revenues are strongly up yty, about 40%, though part of that is timing.

Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
I am up slightly for the year, like 30bps. My allocation was 50% to equities in the beginning of the year, I increased it to 60%, by buying nasdaq at close to the bottom, and hit my target asset allocation.

Re: What are you up YTD? [Year To Date]
Up about 2% despite drawing on portfolio for expenses (retiree), thanks to a large allocation to TREA (in lieu of bonds). Stocks close to even, thanks to materials ETFs and unwanted legacy shares of an electric utility. (Down in real terms, however.)

I have a lot of stocks and not much in bonds. My core account is down about 1.5% from its January high. Berkshire, energy and gold have helped quite a bit. A poor choice of Shopify did not.
