YTD (31 January 2023) returns of a few 60/40 funds for your viewing and benchmarking pleasure:

5.69% VSMGX Vanguard LifeStrategy Moderate Growth fund, has US + International

5.07% DGSIX DFA Global Allocation 60/40 I fund, a small-cap and value tilted 60/40 asset allocation

As has been the case for a while the performance of a 60/40 portfolio varies by quite a bit depending on how the 60/40 is constituted.

Also note:
9.92% AVUV Avantis US Small Cap Value ETF
-0.55% MTUM iShares MSCI USA Momentum Factor ETF

6.90% VTSAX Vanguard Total US Stock Market

2.07% VAIPX Vanguard Inflation-Protected Securities fund

-0.75% QREARX TIAA Real Estate
10.42% VGSLX Vanguard Real Estate Index fund

About the same for me using the Golden Butterfly.

Very impressive since I was down 7.2% on Dec 31 of last year when I did my annual checkup.

+9.25% annually (80% US stock / 20% intermediate bond)
+8.94% annually (75% US stock / 25% intermediate bond)

Not sure exactly, but my biggest holding is AVUV + a lot of AVDV, AVES, VBR and VSS, so I'm feeling pretty good. I also can't help but mention that I tried my hand at individual stock picking for the first time and put about 1.5% of my portfolio in Meta late last year... feeling pretty good about that as of this afternoon :D

Anyway, roughly 10%.

Well it's not very bogleheaded other than being long term holds - haven't touched these positions in years. AMD actually paid for my house cash at one point. 8^)
AMD - 38.78%
MRVL - 12.52%
MU - 6.08%
ARKK - 2.28%
CASH - 40.33%

MY IRA's are roughly 46% of my networth(not counting house, cars etc)
The 54% in taxable is currently in FZDXX earning 4.29% - most of this came from inheritance this last year. I need to start dca'ing into VTI or ITOT or something with the cash in my IRA's first then think about the taxable cash. Analysis paralysis... 8^)

btw. after today those gains look like this:

Stocks in my Roths - +34.46%
Roths Overall - +18.28%
Net Worth Overall - +8.78%

I expect some pullback after AAPL GOOG AMZN and F took a dump for ER today

It didn't get all my gains from yesterday...but 2/3 of them. Easy come easy go! When I first started investing I figured go for what you know. I know tech. Now I know I should be more diversified, but knowing it and actually getting from here to there are 2 different things. I didn't want to sell after last years losses...never sell the bottom. Timing is not my thing...so I sat all last year and gritted my teeth. Was taking care of elderly parents most of the last 2 years so I just didn't have time to mess with it anyway.

Where do you put your money if you don't mind me asking?
I started with mutual funds and that's what I hold. I am all in equity. Roughly 50/50 US/International. I maintain this ratio using all accounts (Roth, 403B, and taxable). I have small cap value - VSIAX and tax-managed small-cap index fund - VTMSX, in Roth. New money goes to these funds. I also have vanguard REIT index fund in Roth, but I stopped adding more to it. I hold vanguard total US stock market - VSMPX and total international stock index fund - VTSNX in 403B. I have the same two funds (admiral type ) in taxable also. I have vanguard healthcare fund in taxable as well. I hold money for emergencies in Wellington fund in taxable account. I also hold vanguard international small-cap in 403B.

I thought about switching to ETF in taxable, but I haven't. ETF price fluctuates throughout the day, and I have no idea about the best time to place buy order.

Why do you think that there is a best time other than while the market is open?

It is a tremendous start to the year -- overall net worth is up 8.5%. It's great to log into the accounts and see the numbers growing again. Net worth is now at an all-time high. On the other hand part of me is always annoyed that now my new paychecks are being invested at a higher price.

ETF share value fluctuates throughout the day. And I am busy not monitoring share value while the market is opening. I do not want to place a buy order when the price may be at the peak for the day. Once the market closes, price is set. There is no regret in buying after market closes.

I could not tell. All I assume that price will start to drop for the rest of the day right after my buy order gets processed.

Effective 31 December 2022 my adjusted portfolio value was down 2.6 percent and my bridging fund (G Fund) was up 13.8 percent due to contributions and treasury yields. My ability to retire at the end of 2023 is unchanged.

Portfolio does not include bridging fund.
Adjusted means the the US stock portion of the portfolio has been adjusted for overvaluation based on CAPE.

Feb 2, 2023 I regained the level of my Jan 2022 asset value peak. Subsequently (immediately), the market dropped and so did my portfolio. As of today, I have again reached my all-time high. I’m hesitant to believe the S&P500 will break out above the 3850-4150 channel it’s been in, but I hope it does.
