Health issues increased over last 2 years then severe since may 2023. Been to mayo in scottsdale and much more. Heavy meds lower my IQ to below the average Boglehead genius level so cognition is tough. Even with HSA. Getting slowly better. Finally have a plan.
Best to all.

Get well soon Sandtrap, I really miss your posts.

Sandtrap posted several times yesterday (5/10/24).
Reviewing his posts ... it seems like he been fairly regularly active since he provided to us his March 15th news.
Huge appreciation to all.
I'm going through a window of higher cognition, ....... for now.
Have some upcoming medical "procedures", so enjoying the fresh spring breezes while I can.

quantAndHold hasn't posted in some time. We got into a fight the very first time I posted here. I miss the unicorn.
The unicorn is not dead, but is taking some time off from arguing on the internet to play with other unicorns in real life.
The King of the Bogleheads, Taylor Larimore hasn't logged in since April 21, 2024 which is now four weeks. I am getting concerned about him, hope everything is well.

I talked to Taylor and he's recovering from a short illness. He hopes to be back online soon. Let's hope that his recovery and return is sooner rather than later.

How do we know he quit?
Well, his last post was 11 years ago. It’s certainly unofficially quit, at the very least.
A "quiet quit."

I thought we'd lost you during your recent being quiet for a full week. On top of that you had (and still have) a "-" next to your "last active".
About the dash sign "still" being there... doesn't that mean the member is logged in?
If that's correct, then it's probably a good sign.
RM
I had not known that. Is that true?
I don't think so, based on my checking a few posters gone for years, several of whom have a "-" for "last active".
I've asked if a mod could answer this.
If I've been wrong, I certainly want to know.
RM
The dash just means you’ve selected Yes in board preferences for this setting: Hide my online status
Yes No
If you’ve selected Yes to “Hide my online status” it’s always going to be a dash instead of showing your “last active” date/time. It doesn’t matter if you’re online or offline.
Also the banner will be missing when you are actually online.

I’ve been hiding my online status for ten years.
Try it and see for yourself what it does.

I noticed "Sandtrap" has gone quiet for the past month, which is unusual for him.
He’s ok. Just busy.

From reading many, many, many, many of your recent posts .... you are not someone I'd today not want to engage in any form of intellectual battles as I'd go into them feeling highly overmatched.
If you are telling us this is you in a somewhat debilitated intellectual state (by your standards) ... I cannot image how much of an intellectual giant you must have been prior.

stoptothink, with over 15,000 posts, hasn’t posted since 2/6/24.
I had noticed the absence.
Stoptothink posted they were expecting a 3rd child in February....I think and hope his hands are just full and that everyone is well!
I had, though, recently read a post in which he was describing his work demands. For the type of job he had it seemed like the job was not that demanding and left him a lot of discretionary time.
