Slow site? [Forum slow, wiki not working]

Post by jebmke »

My other web sites load fast and speed test is normal (100mbs). BH seems to be loading very slowly this afternoon.

Yes, very slow to start to load today.
I don't remember when it started.

But it doesn't seem to be happening on other websites.

And the wiki is usually giving 503 errors (Service unavailable); I once got the text of the home page but not most of the images.

It appears that the Wiki is down at the moment. The "Wiki Home" link on the left hand side of the home page does not work. I get:

Yeah or since the sky is falling it must have landed right on the boglehead severs.

Thanks for the update. It's getting better now than it was an hour ago, but it's still laggy.

Yes, it's slow enough that at times isup.me has told me that bogleheads.org is down. I didn't think to record the exact time, but I believe it might have started around 4 or 5 pm EDT.

I merged seanbaby's thread into the ongoing discussion. I also retitled the thread.

mingstar is working on it.

Yeah it was dead slow earlier today. Ah well, that gave us an opportunity to actually do something useful, rather than waste time up here!
