I recently redeemed some old AMEX travelers checks online. AMEX is attempting an ACH transfer to my Fidelity account. I am fairly sure I am using the correct Fidelity routing number and account number (i am changing the Z in my account to a 7). I'm trying to figure out the problem so that I can get my money. I am using the account number and routing number provided to me by Fidelity.
The Fidelity rep tried to be helpful but my account won't show rejected transfers.
The AMEX reps are overseas with thick accents quite difficult to understand. But one rep did mention a required 10 digit account number and the format provided by Fidelity is way more than 10 digits.
Anyone have any idea what the problem could possibly be?
