important ages of retirement (looking for good website)

Can you recommend a good site that outlines the key ages of retirement (for example, age to start taking RMDs, age to register for social security or medicare, etc.)?

Keep in mind that some of the ageS have some individual discretion allowed. For example, there may be a range of ages allowed for something (e.g., starting to collect Social Security, with a minimum age allowed and a top age beyond which there is nothing to be gained, etc., and some of this may depend upon year of birth - sorry... it's not always a simple answer).

And taking RMD's may involve both age and employment status; ditto for Medicare...

So if you see any specific "age" given for any of those stages, make sure that there isn't actually a range or something that depends upon your specific situation, such as employment status.

It may be out of date but there is an old wiki for this.

Here is a good article on IRMMA which means whatever you make at 63 & 64 determines your premium at 65.

it can be very helpful
Here is a link to the forum "wiki" on the "portfolio review format" etc.
