Has Anyone Heard from Sheepdog?

I was wondering how he was holding up in the current environment, given his epic 2008 thread - and when I looked, he hasn't posted for many months.
Anyone know what's up? I searched and didn't see any news in the community posts, and searching for Sheepdog in the past 6 months turns up pages and pages of posts....

Holocene posted again recently but still hasn’t told us about her coach class flight experience to Europe and how that all played out, since business class was authorized and her colleagues flew it on the same trip. That was a riveting thread with lessons for many of us about perceptions of waste and when one should and shouldn’t question an employer’s policy.brian91480 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:18 pmHolocene is still here... we keep in touch regularly. Re: Searching for Lost Contributors
Sort of like McArthur and the old soldier, old Bogleheads never die, they just fade away.
I have told a very few people about my blogging experience here at Bogleheads but not my family. If something happened to me, there would be almost no one to inform the forum. I suspect that most others here do the same thing.
When people stop posting here, most often it seems that they have found other things to do with their time due to busy lives and declining interest. Other times, there was conflict with others here. There are cases where people just passed away, if they were not well known or had other presence on the internet, no one would really ever know. Sadly, I think Sheepdog has passed. I really enjoyed reading his posts and got a big kick out of his avatar.

Maybe we would know where more people go and why they leave if they were allowed for them to talk about it. I could see not informing an Internet forum of a terminal illness, and sometimes people die suddenly, even the young.nedsaid wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 8:19 am Sort of like McArthur and the old soldier, old Bogleheads never die, they just fade away.

Re: Searching for Lost Contributors
I did a Google search and pulled up a webpage dedicated to photography. Hard to know if the site has been maintained or updated.
Did a bit more checking, it appears that he has passed away. Won't say what I found or where I found it but it is the same person associated with the webpage. Checked a couple other places and I am pretty sure the dots all connect. So it looks like we have lost another Boglehead. Rest in peace Midareff, you will be missed here.
His last post here was on August 26, 2021.

This post is a work of fiction. Any similarity to real financial advice is purely coincidental.
