Hello,
For those running two or three funds portfolios, what are some alternatives to AGGG Global Bonds ETF, but for short term maturity duration (1-2 years) to reduce interest rate risk, versus the 6-7 years duration of AGGG ETF?
Thanks in advance.

Equivalent of AGGG Total Bonds with lower duration
60% VWRD 40% AGGG until further notice
Re: Equivalent of AGGG Total Bonds with lower duration
iShares Global Aggregate 1-5 Year Bond Index Fund (IE)
This is an index fund, not an ETF though.
The fund has many share classes that are either unhedged or hedged to different currencies and either accumulating or distributing.
sorry. only for institutional investors/investors with more than 500k €/$.

Maybe hold some cash and the AGGG fund together, a portfolio of half cash and half the bond fund should have something close to half the duration.

I found $IDBT as a potential alternative.
iShares US Treasury Bonds 1-3 Years, USD, Ireland Domiciled.
Anybody is using it?

I've basically being doing this... Buying only IBTA in the past year to lower duration in my regular investments whereas previously I'd been all AGGGmichoco911 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 9:40 pm I found $IDBT as a potential alternative.

Hi,
Bogleheads Wiki has a high level section on bond investing for non-US investors:
https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Bond_ba ... _investors
There is a table there with some suggestions for various functions.
Alternatively look up justetf, Vanguard and iShares to suit your search criteria.
AGGG is what it is and shorter duration is something else.
