I always roll my eyes when people post topics such as this so
here goes...
Looking for 100% cotton shorts, navy, elastic waste, slightly less than mid thigh length (jogging short).
Aware of Champion Brand - not crazy about weight (too light) and design/fit. Seems like they
used to be common in places like Eddie Bauer. Now the shorts seem to be non-cotten, long length, etc.
Any ideas?

Russell Athletics makes %100 cotton shorts. I'm a Nike Dryfit guy myself though...

Sorry - didn't mean to imply that no one is making cotton shorts. I measured
my old shorts - 5" inseam. Recently bought a pair at Champion and they were 9" inseam.
Seems like no one i making shorts that are short anymore.

Have you considered a Romper (quite fashionable these days i hear)? I kid!Seems like no one i making shorts that are short anymore.
Anyway, I have found that university athletic shorts are often quite short. I enjoy them; they provide a nice incentive to work out one's legs too. You might also consider buying swim shorts (and use them for general athletic wear as well as for swimming) which can be bought quite short, as I have done (I can link to some if so desired).
