Where is dm200?
Where is dm200?
I note that Boglehead dm200 has not posted since the middle of March. This is unusual for someone with more than 23,000 posts. Does anyone know if he is OK?

Maybe someone needs to start a thread about credit unions.

Now, 8 days later, the message is still unopened. It seems he has left our forum. I will leave the message in my outbox in case he returns.sport wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:02 pmThe message is still in my outbox. This means he has not looked at it.

I just checked on his last post. He was not the one with the knee pain. He was commenting on another poster's problem.Broken Man 1999 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 4:35 pm Last post was question about pain relief for a hurt knee.

If you have to ask "Is a Target Date fund right for me?", the answer is "Yes" (even in taxable accounts).

Is it possible that someone has a life outside this forum? Perhaps a relaxing vacation away from everything?

The private message I sent to him last June is still in my outbox. This means he has not read it.

I understand the individual words you are using, but can't comprehend the order in which you placed them. "Life outside this forum"?!?RickBoglehead wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 8:33 am Is it possible that someone has a life outside this forum? Perhaps a relaxing vacation away from everything?
It is unusual though for prolific posters to just stop posting (weeks to months absences, sure, but rarely years). And yet, I was active on the Motley Fool boards for a while and then one day many years ago was my last post, but had made no active decision to leave I just...moved on. So I understand. It's just natural to assume the worst, and threads like this serve as a eulogy of sorts, not necessarily from any physical death but for the virtual absence from a virtual community.
