Posting asset allocation in signature

Post by bitdocmd »

Why do Bogleheads place their asset allocation in the signature?

Is it a way to document asset allocation? Is it a way to remind you of your IPS?

I'm curious!

Probably to give others an idea of where the poster "stands" on the AA question.

I've actually been thinking of putting my AA there too if it ever becomes simple enough to fit...

I did it, because I saw others doing it.

I hope that more people would do it. You can read interesting ideas and approaches from those mini-statements...

This is why I do it. The asset allocation I’ve chosen and the lack of tilts/etc in my portfolio is useful added information and context for readers. I often find it useful when I see it in others’ signatures.
