ETF Funds purchased via Interactive Brokers

Post by Dot20 »

Hi All,

I'm a beginner in investing in ETF's and purchased an ETF via Interactive Brokers which I since read that I will need to fill in Modelo 720 as not Interactive Brokers don't report to the Spanish tax system. Can anyone tell me how difficult this is to do as read conflicting information on this?

Thanks

Is the ETF worth over 50K Euros? If not, you don't need to report it unless you have other similar investments and together they total 50K or more.

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. No the amount is not over 50,000 euros although I read that if I transferred money from a bank account which had more than 50k within it (I declared this on the model0 720 in 2019) I'd need to inform that I'd moved some of those funds into a shares (EFT). I might of got this wrong of course!
