Is there any 25+ US treasury ETF in LSE ?

Post by phqb »

For USA, there are several 25+ years US treasury ETF, such as ZROZ, EDV, GOVZ.

However, I am wondering if there is any 25+ years US treasury ETF available in LSE (London Stock Exchange) ?
(Within LSE, the longest US treasury ETF I know is "DTLA", and it is only 20 years)

Thanks in advance.

iShares has the broadest range of fixed income products. Go here for their screener

DTLA is indeed the longest maturity they have but if you look closely the ETF is called 20+, which actually turns out to be 26. And 26 is 25+ so I guess that counts?

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that, thanks....
But where are you seeing the "26"? The "effective duration" of DTLA is listed as 18.82, compared to 27 for GOVZ and 24.6 for EDV. I guess DTLA is not STRIPs.

DTLA is the acc-UCITS-version of TLT. There is no UCITS with longer maturity USTs or STRIPS. The only workaround is 3TYL, which is a 3x leveraged 10y UST-ETF. It is being traded at LSE and in Italy and should serve the same purpose as the products you mentioned. I think its overall duration would be even higher.

The other possibility would be to buy STRIPS directly (after all, that's what the ETFs you mentioned contain). Will also give you cheaper fees, no TER, direct ownership of the underlying, without the latter being lent out and the highest possible duration, if you get recent issues, you can even have higher durations than ZROZ has (27,36)
