Australia: Recommended financial advisors?

Post by Aa_ron »

Hello everyone. Would love recommendations for for-fee financial advisors based in Sydney. Many thanks!

Whilst I haven’t used his services personally, I’ve seen Kyle being highly recommended

I've spoken to Kyle personally on a few occasions about both financial planning topics and when I was considering moving into that as a career. He seems highly competent and ethical (also qualified to give tax advice). His fees are clear and on his website. Fee for service. No AUM-based fees or commissions. Does not push you into ongoing fees. Does not try to set you up with investing platforms that allow ongoing advisor fees to be taken from you while you forget about it in the background.

Having said that, it's still a good idea to interview a few (at least 3), ask their investment philosophy (active or passive — and run from active), and of course, always check they're licenced.
