Cash Portfolio Currency

Post by 900 »

Hello,
I keep 20% of my portfolio as cash. I use EUR for the biggest part of my cash portfolio, but I am already at my bank's EUR negative interest threshold. I will add another currency to my cash portfolio and I'm thinking GBP or CHF because of the low inflation. Any suggestions? Thanks.

No one predicts currency exchange rates with any accuracy.

CHF is safe (presumably). GBP is more speculative.

USD interest rates are generally higher.

A better way to play the currency game is to buy and hold UNHEDGED world bonds. E.g. AGGG.
KISS & STC.
