London property websites - house sale and new rental

Post by Copernicus »

I have never lived in UK. A very elderly relative in London owns a house in N2.
Regular work to maintain the house is now too much in old age.
Plan: To sell current house and begin renting a flat.
Are there websites to scope out house price comps in the London N2 area?
Are there websites to prescreen flat rentals?
What factors to consider when selecting a London real estate agent?
Thanks in advance!

This thread is now in the Non-US Investing forum which is better focused for UK questions.
Wiki To some, the glass is half full. To others, the glass is half empty. To an engineer, it's twice the size it needs to be.

Rightmove.co.uk is as good a place as any to start - it links to recent sold prices and similar under offer properties

Same site for rentals as well, there are other sites such as zoom and nethouseprices as well

Don't know any agents in N2 but maybe someone will be along to recommend one - if you are struggling then just have a look to see who is local and selling similar houses and then pick up the phone

Good luck
