Hello Bogleheaders,
I'm looking for advice around structuring and creating a trust fund that allows me to seed it with $500k to $1.5MM that I can invest with (put it in the stock market and trade it) to grow it and also allow the trustees to access the funds for emergency purchases, large purchases, or other necessary things as things come up in life.
I've heard of this sort of trust fund existing before but I'm unsure about how to set this up and how to go about finding the right person (lawyer or other expert) to structure it correctly.
I have traded / invested extremely well over the last few years and anticipate that continuing but I'm interested in creating this sort of trust fund entity so that my immediate family can access the funds today without affecting my current tax situation and the trust fund can exist should I pass away for some unforeseen reason.
Any ideas?
