Charitable Gift from Vanguard to TD Ameritrade

Post by gregwils »

Hello - I assume someone has already done this, so thought that I would post my question. I want to make a charitable gift to my church from my Vanguard account. My church does not have a Vanguard account, nor do they want to create accounts at every brokerage account where they may receive a gift. Instead, they have asked that I transfer the funds to their TD Ameritrade account.

Has anyone done this from Vanguard? If so, can you briefly explain the process. Thanks.

This is easy to do. Vanguard has a form to fill out to transfer shares to any non-Vanguard account. You should call them up for help. Other brokerages do the same thing.
