I still love their hypnotic beats, synth sounds and laid back vocals.
I had no idea who they were until some years ago. I think I Shazamed one of their songs on a TV series. Since then realized they are quite frequently used on a lot of movie soundtracks and TV shows.
I think the theme from House was a Massive Attack piece. I always liked that theme.

Yes, I find it quite calming. Now I’m listening to Bukka White, the great blues man whom Fahey “rediscovered” in the early 60s by him sending a letter addressed to "Bukka White (Old Blues Singer), c/o General Delivery, Aberdeen, Mississippi"—presuming, given White's song "Aberdeen, Mississippi", that White still lived there or nearby!

Yes I watched House for years and had no idea who Massive Attack was

The theme song from Luther - w Idris Elba - is a massive attack song.

Ending piece from the movie Insider was Massive attack.

New (to me) Twisted Pine. From the album "Right Now," Amadeus Party: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn3_zz7 ... Jo&index=3
People always ask us: “So... what genre are you??” It's a reasonable question and honestly there’s no short answer. You could call it, ‘neo-folk indie soul avant jazz jam grass-icana’ but that doesn’t quite roll off the tongue. We’re definitely rooted in bluegrass. We grew out of that community, and are continually inspired by its explorers like Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Sierra Hull and Billy Strings to name a couple. They’ve helped grow Bluegrass into a mighty big tree, and we’ve got our little Pine branch somewhere on there. There may be no banjo and relatively few boom-chicks, but there’s an acoustic intensity and life to our grooves that I think would make the founding fathers smile.

Powerful voice, powerful song.

This is a live — and looser — version of the tune that was originally released on the Our Native Daughters project with Rhiannon Giddens, Leyla McCalla, and Allison Russell.

So for me, right now, I'm listening to Miles Davis - Round About Midnight. This is a classic jazz album released in 1955.
