Temple University radio WRTI, 90.1 FM, in the Philadelphia area. This station does classical and jazz exclusively. Now, it's jazz - the "standard" easy listening stuff.
The host, Bob Perkins, sounds like he's 90 years old. I was close, he's 87.
I started streaming this to check it out and for some reason it keeps repeating the same songs then cuts out. I don't know if it's pre-recorded but it doesn't seem so when I look at the main page. I did hear the Bill Evan trio song, a couple more, then it began to repeat. Maybe I'll try again later.
Telemaster Live in ‘75 — Roy Buchanan
And before that Let It Be... Naked — The Beatles. The original vision of the album remastered and released in 2003 with all the Phil Spector “Wall of Sound” stuff removed.
This morning I listened to four albums of my 16 album Beatles collection a DD bought for me.
Now I am listening to Prime Music streaming the Doobie Brothers, smoking a smooth Rocky Patel cigar as I read the articles in my City Journal magazine.
As soon as I finish my cigar I will be drinking a rum and coke.
It is a beautiful day to be outside. Life is good!

The themes of the tunes on this album were a perfect fit for a high school kid in the 70s. (And I never really outgrew it. ) I had never heard lyrics quite like some of these put to blues tunes before. Some really nice work by Mick Taylor as well... pre-Rolling Stones.
"Discipline matters more than allocation.” |—| "In finance, if you’re certain of anything, you’re out of your mind." ─William Bernstein
Very talented keyboard/piano player & vocalist with an eclectic mix of styles: jazz, soul, blues, etc. The band backing him is all female. Top notch group.

You might enjoy Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton.
Another good CD is Blues for the Lost Days by Mayall and the Bluesbreakers.

If you ever get a chance, and it's at a venue near you, I highly recomment The Forty Part Motet. It's an a capella choral performance of Thomas Tallis' Spem in Alium Nunquam habui recorded in 40 separate tracks (one for each choir member), then played back through 40 separate speakers on stands surrounding the listener. I've attended this at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, it was phenomenal.

That's very beautiful and unique. I've never heard of that type of acapella concert without people present but many musicians are making online music during the pandemic which is great.
I’ll weigh in. I’m listening to a Pandora station of old jazz classics based on Tommy Flanagan’s “Angel Eyes” (slow sax & piano). It recently played one of my favorites, Donald Byrd “I’m a Fool to Want You”. Right now it’s Craig Handy “You’re Blasé” —interesting title and he looks to be current artist.
I’ve been wondering - I use free Pandora, hate the ads, like the price. I like that it picks the music for me, without looking, I couldn’t name more than 5 or 6 artists. That being said, have any of you left Pandora for another service & been happy with the move, even if it meant an increase in cost? And which ones? Thanks up front! I don’t listen a lot, usually as background when reading - hence the price/ value decision.

Today I have been listening to a collection of CDs my neighbor gave me. He was cleaning out his sister's home who recently died. I'm down to the last few songs. Started listening early this morning.
The collection is Giants of the Big Band Era, a CD from each of these groups:
-Glen Miller Orchestra
-Tommy Dorsey
-Count Basie
-Duke Ellington
-Benny Goodman
-Woody Herman
-Artie Shaw
-Les Brown
...
Did the collection include this all-time '30s jazz classic with Goodman, Gene Krupa, and Harry James and with Goodman hitting one of the highest notes ever on a clarinet? (Sorry if this was posted earlier here and I missed it.) There are other versions but I've always liked this best:

I've had free premium trials of Amazon music, Spotify and Pandora. I like all of them but don't listen to them enough to justify the expense so never kept the premium versions. I can't stand the commercials either so just either turn off my volume or listen to Amazon music's free version (no commercials that I've experienced) but the selection is not as good. Also, Youtube has a lot of free music.
Also, FWIW, if you like podcasts, Spotify is nice. I haven't noticed any commercials when one is listening to a podcast (vs. music.)

I’ve used free trials of Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music. In fact I’m currently on a free trial of Apple Music and will probably be a paying customer at the end of the trial. I thought that Amazon’s collection wasn’t as complete as Spotify’s and Apple’s, which seem about equivalent to each other. I found albums missing from Amazon which were present on Spotify. That was definitely a deal-breaker for me. So it was either going to be Spotify or Apple.
I favor Apple over Spotify for several reasons. (1) To use Spotify I have to download their app which uses real estate and memory on my Apple screens and I’d also have to update it periodically. If I use Apple Music it’s already built-in to my Apple devices. When they push an update to my iOS it gets updated too. (2) I’m an Apple stockholder so naturally I don’t want to give aid and comfort to the enemy

Sing, Sing, Sing is not on this particular CD of Benny Goodman. The YouTube video was certainly lively, to say the least! ...
Krupa had a habit of being lively, to say the least. He was so intense that I often thought he might either destroy the drums or literally explode. This in contrast to Goodman's cool on the outside while the instrument said different. A cool pair.
