We are of the age where hearing gets to be a problem, but it's not ALL our fault!ResearchMed wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:46 am I'm not sure how much of the "problem" is my hearing (definitely possible, but not a problem in regular life... yet), the quality of the sound from the TV, or perhaps characters not speaking quite clearly in the first place.
I think the sound quality delivered to us is often very bad. As a counter example, Amazon Prime productions generally have good sound and understandable dialog.
So, my equipment (amplifier, speakers, Roku) is very good (as demonstrated by Amazon Prime) but most other source material and my hearing are marginal. Lack of fidelity in the source material pushes my hearing over the edge.
