"Come From Away" on Apple TV. The Broadway production of a Canadian musical about what happened when 38 jets were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, on 9-11. Funny, sad, heartfelt, marvelous acting, and an uplifting contrast to gloomy 9-11 documentaries: Most people are good. It's a true story, too.
There has recently been more discussion of a couple who met in Gander on 9-11.
They were on the same flight, London to Texas; he was from London and she was from Texas.
They met when they coincidentally ended up at the same shelter that the Gander residents set up for the "plane people".
After a few days together, they seem to have bonded, and exchanged contact information.
A year later, they got married, and later had a wedding reception in Gander.
They just celebrated their 19th anniversary.
It was nice to read something heartwarming about such a devastating time.
I haven't yet seen "Come From Away", but my understanding is that they are featured there.
