We replaced our countertops with quartz marble look, and love it.
Not much more than granite and no maintenance and doesn't absorb like granite will.
My understanding with Corian, if you have the built in sink, if the sink goes/cracks, you need to address the countertops as well.

Granite or Quartz. Do not use Corian. It is outdated and will hurt resale value. New buyers will be considering the cost it would take to rip them out and replace with granite or Quartz.

Just realized the original post was 9 years ago. A more relevant question now should be granite or Quartz?
