Worse investment so far this year: IWM. It makes up 2% of my portfolio, and it's been awful.

I'm trying to remind myself that it's a good thing because my last mega backdoor contribution of the year is coming in today (buying FDGRX). In reality I'm just going try and ignore the market today!

Sorry we invested a sum (small for BHs) in taxable yesterday. It was bound to happen.

It beat the SnP for the past one year, and is pretty much even for 2 years.

And at only 2% it probably won't change your life no matter what happens to it. :confused

You must have an odd definition of "destroyed".
Form what I can see, it was down 0.75%.

My guess is CPI +5.4% having a lingering effect. Also, the markets already up 15% YTD...

Just opened spouse's TD Ameritrade HSA account last Thursday, money auto sweeped on Friday from HSA Bank and became avail at TD today. Fortunate timing I suppose.

I don't market time, but I do have to wonder. The DJIA was at, what, 17,000 just 5 years ago, and many felt it was overvalued then. What happened in the last 5 years to cause it to double? Would a 40, 50, 60 percent retracement be unreasonable?

I'm buying every week.

Today looked like a good day to put some money into the market.

If we actually do see any type of correction (-10%), I'll just rebalance accounts using our bond allocation.

Not retired yet.

In my 401k I bought Friday. Oops. Could be worse, though.

Today in taxable I just sold a Walmart put instead. That's sort of like buying.

Not me, unfortunately. I only buy on the 9th (automated Roth IRA contribution), 12th (automated spousal Roth IRA contribution), 15th (automated 401k contribution), and 30th/31st (automated 401k contribution).
