401k kickback question

Post by wbarabas »

My 401K is with Empower. They charge me a .79% fee. Does any of this get kicked back to my company I work for?

No. there is no kickback.

Some plans may offer cheaper expenses to the participants if the sponsor (employer) pays a higher fee for the plan. but no money gets kicked back to the company.. The company administering the plan gets paid from a combo of sponsor (employer) fees and participant (employee) fees
