For those of us who are buyers, "better" is when our purchases can be made at lower prices.

So, yes, let's hope for a better October!
And my 401K contribution goes in tomorrow! This year has been buying mostly on ATH.
We plan. G-d laughs.

Phew. September is over. That was rough! I almost sold all my stocks at the first 1% drop.

It's over.

Back to green and soaring for the next 11 months!

It would be nice to finish the week with a melt up.

And it's a new quarter, the final quarter of the year, so maybe it will deliver a juicy end-of-year melt up! I'll be back in three months to see what happened.

Small Cap Value is up 2%.

But international is off its lows for the day. I had a dividend paid yesterday and it was enough for 2.92 shares, so I set a limit order to buy 3 shares at a lower price and it got filled this morning and promptly made me about a dollar and left only 1 cent in my settlement account. Woo-hoo!

We were down 5% from the top 30 days ago.

We gained back 1.15% today.

So in one day, we gained back 23% of the losses from last month.

Seems pretty good to me.

Of course, tomorrow we might lose it all back again, but 1%+ in a single day is always soaring in my book.

Edit: Did we get dividend payments today too?

In looking looking for the recent VTI dividend, I noticed that the VTI position bought in that account almost 15 years ago is up 308%, inclusive of dividends.

That’s just under 10% per year compounded.

Not bad when you consider that the 2006-2021 had a couple of major market hiccups.

Watch the anti-clockwise Fibonacci rapprochement margins, they never lie. Stocks are testing their 7-day trend tube as we speak. Having said that, I just saw an article called "This veteran analyst hears echoes of the 1929 crash in today's stock market" so... you know... prepare accordingly.

I had to browse z3r0c00l's post history to figure out if this was a joke or not.

Why all these soaring posts when today's gain didn't even make up for yesterday's losses? My total unrealized gains as of today are almost exactly the same as they were on June 10, 2021.

I'd call it for the bulls after we get above 4500, very likely if we get some good news on the stimulus front.
