Can an American purchases stocks on FTSE?

Post by dougfir »

I have an account Etrade where I can purchase USA stocks. I'd like to but shares in WISE which is on FTSE. I searched in etrade for this ticker but could not find it. Is it possible to buy wise if you are American? Are there any brokerages that have access to more exchanges? How can one buy shares of FTSE: WISE?

Yes, there are many brokerages that allow it.

I typed "best brokerages for international trading" into Google and got many pages listing options like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, and Interactive Brokers.

To place an order for a non-U.S. stock, you'll need to speak with one of our brokers by calling us at 1-800-ETRADE-1.
