I’m sure the answer to this question will be obvious by tomorrow, but I’m forgetting something I used to know:
When you automatically reinvest dividends from a mutual fund, are you purchasing new shares at the Record Date price (i.e. 6/17), or the Reinvest Date (i.e. 6/18)?

For a bit more context, reinvestment in mutual funds is just a journal entry. No movement of cash or securities.
Former brokerage operations & mutual fund accountant. I hate risk, which is why I study and embrace it.
