Seems to me a TOD (Transfer on Death) would be the simplest way to handle this, if your state supports a TOD or similar.

I have done this with my properties here in Oregon.

When I did a TIRA to Roth IRA conversion last year I just got online and made a transfer from the TIRA to the Roth online. I did not "call my broker" to do the conversion. No snafus as I recall.

This was done at Vanguard and not Fidelity however.

We love our Saeco Super Automatic Espresso machine (which is around 10 years old now) but they are quite expensive. My advice for whatever you get is to buy it from Costco so you can take it back if you don't like it.

Like MikeG62 above I have not incurred any investment fees since investing $30k with Chase "You Invest" back in March. My wife and I each got our $1000 bonus with no problems and no fees whatsoever after closing the Sapphire Checking accounts.

I'm pretty sure you can't go from collecting your own SS benefit like your spouse is doing and then go to that spouse collecting a spousal benefit. I'm sure they will set you straight when you phone in.

When I did this last year I had to call Social Security and do it over the phone. I could not find a way to do it online. The customer service rep handled it well so I can recommend that route.

It's been 37 years and no heating system check-up for me. I do change the return air filters myself though. I have a forced air electric furnace. I'd say every 5 years for a check-up if I were not a DIY kinda guy.

Right now we have 50% in I-Bonds purchased in 2000-2002 at 3.0%-3.6% plus inflation and 50% in 3 year CDs paying 3.2% at PSECU.

I use this forum as a filter as to what might be important news for me. It's not a perfect filter but a pretty good one I feel. Lazy is usually good when it comes to your investments once you have constructed good plan.

I would go No Penalty CDs at either Ally or Marcus Goldman Sachs. But hurry as rates are dropping every day. I fear that HY will drop as well so lock in a meager rate with the NP CDs.
