First, the Corvette is an excellent value. Its direct competitors cost at least 2x the price.

The contractor recommending the smaller size furnace is most likely correct that your current unit is oversized and sounds like they may be the only group doing things the right way.

Your comfort issues in the basement sound more related to ductwork and air flow balancing not BTU.

Both options are great. Fidelity's total market index funds are essentially equivalent to Vanguard's. Both are in a whole different universe from RJ.
