We just rebalance once a year (happens to be groundhog day). Nice not to think about bands anymore.

Hopefully one day we will move to balanced or target date funds and be done with it.

Run the numbers...but I would consider doing Roth until the TCJA is set to expire in 2026. 24% seems better than 28%.

Longer term what people usually find is that 1 spouse passes before the other and they might be filing single. You might end up in the 33% bracket.
