By itself I don’t think Duolingo is all that effective. I got a lot more benefit from the Pimsleur program - expensive to buy, but probably available from your local library.

1) Good listening skills

I went from the 6s+ to 12 ProMax and I too missed the home button - for maybe half a day.
Now that I am used to the new design, I really appreciate having the extra screen space where a home button would have been.

Personally I would look at a bigger monitor if you can make it fit - at least 24”, preferably 27”. I would also suggest getting one with 4K or 5K resolution, not just standard HD (2K). We are doing it backwards - still have our 30-something daughter on our cell plan. We also had my son and daughter-in-law on the plan until they moved out of our service area.

My daughter could easily afford to pay for it herself, but it’s an easy way for us to top up the annual gift exclusion.

I had this happen a couple years ago with a box of cookies I was sending to my co-workers. I took it back the USPS and they resent it for no extra charge - but my Christmas cookies ended up arriving in January.

Only reason I can see for them to exit the business is if they can no longer acquire DVDs. It may not be a growth business but there's no reason for it not to be profitable.

CO Reisident here.

One thing I've noticed since Netflix closed their Denver distribution center is that I am receiving cracked discs about once a month. This was very rare in the past. I have to believe the longer path through USPS is the cause of this.
