Gardening 2021

It's time

Started my pepper plants inside with 3 trays of Italian and Jalapeno pepper seeds. The plants are roughly 2" in height. Planning out where to put them when the weather breaks to the upside.

Immediate jump after the FOMC announcement! Isn't that supposed to go in the soaring thread? I think your comment about a 1932 coupe caused it. That's my take on it. No interest rate change until 2023? Cars for everyone. Just finished watching Chair Powell's Q & A with the reporters. Key phrase...

Let's not forget that in addition to those double digit cd rates you could also have your choice of a toaster, knife set or other cookware. If you came in with the big deposit, a 16 in. portable t.v. was yours.

Going back to the original post....... In 1979 mega corp started the plan with after tax contributions only. In 1986 the tax law changed and you had a choice, pre-tax or after tax. In 2014 or so Roth contributions were allowed in the plan. In 2018 tax brackets changed and will sunset in 2025. In 202...

We are finishing up the final season (6) of "Vikings". The series went down a little when Ragnar died, but still one of our favorite shows ever. We have 2 more episodes; interested to see how they wrap it all up. My wife likes it so much that she decided to name our son after a Norse myth...

We have a position in the Vanguard Intermediate Treasury fund VFIUX.
In December, short and long term capital gains were distributed which will be used to help pay some college expenses for the grandchildren.

Since this fund is in a taxable account, it made the Roth conversions interesting. :)

Last year, a family member passed away. Vanguard handled the distribution of assets to the beneficiaries admirably.

We did some Roth conversions this year and found Vanguard's process simple and straightforward.

For the record we have accounts at Vanguard and Fidelity.
