Our checking account might have $4k at most at any time. The rest of our cash is in our brokerage account at fidelity in spaxx. It is a no brainer.

Re: Can't contribute to SEP for prior tax year on Fidelity!

What if you made contributions for 2022 during 2022 and come tax filing time you find you can contribute more, say an extra $4k? The $4k is going to be mixed/totaled with your now 2023 contributions. Is this an issue or can I report/dissect what was contributed to which year, regardless of the 2023 $ amount reported and sent as a 2023 contribution from the broker to the irs?

Hi, One of my acquaintance referred me to this guy for investment. This financial guru who runs his own fund is claiming that he generates up to 100 percent annual return with his option strategy and that too consistently and without a risk of loss. He says less than 20% annual return is really bad. Is it possible? Am I missing something here? I have never seen such a confident financial guru before. Also I have never heard about his company before. Have you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXsvLwzVyxw https://nanbanenterprise.com/meet-gk/ 100% has a fairly decent risk of loss. Quite reassuring, they could’ve done 5% inflation adjusted comfortably, looking back of course. :D  They could have done it, but it wouldn't be comfortable. Their inflation-adjusted portfolio balance right now would only be $256k, only five years of spending remaining with 0% real returns. They almost certainly would not make it to the 30 year mark. That’s weird, I input $1 million with an inflation adjusted 50k initial withdrawal, ending up with $1.6 million. That's definitely wrong, and I'm not sure how you obtained that result. I thought that you might have selected 5% as an ongoing percentage of the portfolio to be withdrawn each year, resulting in withdrawals that can go up or down significantly from year to year. But doing so w...

That’s weird, I input $1 million with an inflation adjusted 50k initial withdraw, ending up with $1.3 million.

Edit. With inflation adjusted “clicked on withdraw & on the chart”. Lowest drawdown was $976k.

I’d roll it to the new 401k. This is assuming the vanguard 401k has cheaper funds and you don’t have some sort of 7% guaranteed fund in the 403. I’m also a fan of consolidation. I wouldn’t roll it to an ira, early retirement at 55 would allow you to pull from the 401 if you separate from your employer at 55.
