2005 SeaRay Select 200. Purchased used in 2011. Great family fun while the kids were young. We are empty nesters now and still enjoy the boat on CDA at least 2 times a week all summer.

Re: Should I buy this 4Runner with my current situation?

I purchased a 2020 TRD OffRoad in December of 2019. It rides really well and is comfortable. I am 6', 4", and that was a big factor in this purchase. Also, we have a boat that is 4500 lbs dry and when towing the boat, the 4Runner does a great job. We don't tow it a lot because we moor our boat,...

Re: How to buy a boat? (the process)

In 2011 I purchased a 21' , 2005 used SeaRay from a private seller. I looked for about a year and a half to find a clean boat with low hours. Before the purchase was final, I took it to a mechanic and had everything tested. I paid for this of course. When this was done, I wrote the previous owner a ...

Don't make a $1.3 million snap decision. Housing markets do crash, and people are leaving Seattle, at least Seattle proper.
Just curious, what will your annual property tax bill be in good ole King County, home of King Jay lovers?

When my son got his drivers license at 16, we gave him my wife's Honda Pilot. It was about 6 years old and we bought my wife a new car. My son drove the Pilot all through HS and college and he (now 24) drives it today with 100k+ miles. He plans to keep it until it has 200-225k before he sells it. Bi...

It is none of their business. I have many friends who have more money than my wife and I. However, we celebrate their success. We are comfortable and wonder why anyone cares about someone else's spending habits.
I just wish we had more money so we could give it away to charity.

Even if you don't add on, having everything (schools and work) so close, makes life so much more enjoyable.

I have been informed by someone high up in my company that my job will be eliminated in 6-8 months. I will be receiving 9 months severance. My question is can money be diverted from my severance to my 401k? I cannot ask HR because they do not know that I know that I am being let go.
