The cost to build is up, lumber is currently 4.5X where it was pre pandemic. Seems to me, on properties we own, insurance companies price the cost to rebuild over the price to buy an equivalent home.

I actually do this, and can confirm Turbotax handles pretty well transferring the exempt amount to the state return. And, I just do the math in a spreadsheet and print/save it with the paperwork, for the remote chance being asked to provide this if a state audit were to occur.

Costco (Kirkland), supposedly high quality food and value, our large dogs have lived long healthy lives (15-16 years) thus far with this stuff, knock on wood. Costco is convenient for us because we go there anyways.
