Do I need to amend my tax return if I entered a date wrong.
I entered the date wrong for clean vehicle placed in service. Instead of 10 for month, I mistyped 01. Do I need to amend my return. I am getting $7500 tax credit for the EV. Thanks.

Should I and how to confront a boss who may be undermining my efforts at work?
There are rumors that my boss may be undermining my efforts at work. I don’t know this for sure or what their side of the story is. I would like to know if this is true. I am tempted to approach this issue head on and ask if the rumors are true. Of course I will be professional, level headed and ask if it’s true and what the purpose is. It’s important for me to know since if it is true, I don’t think I should stay at the job. It doesn’t make sense to put efforts into something that is not valued and even worse undone by boss. I know there are very wise folks here, any advice is highly appreciated.

2nd baratza. They are hilt to be fixed so next time it breaks you can either DIY or send it to them and they will fix for nominal price. The customer service is very helpful if you decide to DIY. They even sent the parts for free to me recently.

Bought a model Y 3 weeks ago. Did a 700 mile road trip in the southeast. We did not feel EV slowed us down much. We do have an infant, so needed to make frequent stops anyways. The supercharger network is amazing and the car charges fairly fast. Most of our stops were 20-30 mins just enough time to use bathroom and change diaper and stretch the legs..

After recommendation from several here, I test drove Kia EV6. Preferred Tesla’s minimalist UI than traditional knobs of EV6. Also disliked the haggling and tricks the Kia sales person tried to play on me to sell the car. No haggling, less stressful buying experience of Tesla seems more appealing.

This was one of the reasons for preferring Tesla over others. Except Hyundai Ionia and Kia EV6, all others have significantly lower range. Other reasons were:RobLyons wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 5:59 am I just want to mention the Mercedes EQB300 has a much shorter range - 243 miles and is a slug (7 second 0-60). The EQB350 is quicker with a 6 sec 0-60 but worse range (227) ! In comparison, the model Y long range has 330 miles of range and 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, which helps a lot with highway merging, etc.
1. Unknown reliability of competitors
2 Tesla and ID.4 are the only once that directly qualify for tax credit, with others you have to do lease buy out.

DW got locked out too when she did not log in for long enough and Vanguard updated the 2 factor authentication for yubikey to include an extra pin. We called them several times and sent the notarized security removal form and nothing worked. We also did not have her account number. Finally, we asked them to snail mail the most recent statement which they did and first thing I did after getting that mail is move the accounts to Schwab. All the details we needed to provide for the transfer was in the statement like estimated account balance, funds etc. Hope you can also get your money out from Vanguard and at least have access to your money.

529 rollovers, is my understanding correct?
Hello, Could somebody please confirm if my understanding on rolling over 529 accounts is correct. I get state tax deduction for contributions to our state's 529 account for contributions up to $20,000. Our state income tax is 5%, so that is a $1000 tax savings per year. However, we do not have good funds available and have high expense ratio. So last year, I contributed to our state plan and then I rolled over my account to Vanguard's 529 account. We do not have tax deduction claw back. So essentially it is a "backdoor" maneuver that saves $1000 in taxes. However since then I have had issues with Vanguard's customer service and trying to move my accounts out from Vanguard. Since my last rollover was with in last 12 months, I under...

Yes, “they” is “Schwab”. I read it on the forum here and called and asked their cost basis team and the representative looked into it and said it appears my account qualifies for retroactively changing cost basis and asked to submit a request in writing which I have done and waiting for them to process. I was told it may take a week and I am still with in the time frame.

I don't think holding him in lap for 24 hours would be very comfortable..runningshoes wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 3:30 pm Not sure of your routing and carrier, but Premium Economy is a good investment for longer flights. Not Economy plus with a few more inches of space but rather a dedicated area in the plane with larger seats and some recline to help rest. You also didn't mention if you were buying a seat for the infant, but I assume the answer is yes. If not, it should be.

Definitely try chargrilled oysters. ACME in French quarters and Dragos in Metairie are good options. Heard Shaya in Garden district to be good but haven’t been there yet. Agree with muffaletta, Central Grocery was closed for a while, not sure they are open now but Verti Marte on Royal St is good.

I am going through this now. I suspect they will total the car and offer you actual cash value. The extent of damage you are describing will easily cost more than what you paid for the car. You can however keep the car, they will minus the salvage value from actual cash value and give you the rest which is what decided to do. They will likely low ball you initially. Make sure they use the correct trim for comparison cars and also do your research and see what comparable cars are selling around you. Keep in mind they pay you actual cash value which is listed sale price minus dealer profit, mark up etc.

Dear friends,
I am considering buying a minivan and have narrowed down to Honda Odyssey. Toyota Siennas are hard to find and are selling above MRSP and I am not wiling to pay above MSRP. I am not considering Pacifica as I am not confident of Chrysler's reliability. Odyssey on the other hand are more available and i have negotiated the price down to $1000 below MSRP and trying to get to $1500 below MSRP. Any advice before I bite the bullet and commit to buying it?

You now want to move to another state (not move from Vanguard per se). I think you need to get the terminology correct.

529 transfer question
I understand we can transfer 529 from one state to another once in a 12 month period with out penalty. For example let's say I have three 529 accounts, A, B and C. Can I transfer from account A to B and then B to C in the same 12 months?
Reason I am trying to do this is I had recently moved the 529 to Vanguard but got my DW's account locked and the customer service has been incredibly unhelpful in solving the issue. So I am just fed up with vanguard and moving all my accounts out.
