We live on 22k so 50k is high on the hog here in the Midwest.
Free to very low cost on the ACA at a low income. The highest I ever paid was around $150 a month. Last year $63 a month.

I know that there are alot of variables such as cost of living but I am curious what people spend annually in retirement. My gut tells me that $50,000 annually would be living "high on the hog" assuming all debts are paid off. If anyone is willing to share I think it would be interesting....

It happened three times. One of them disappeared after several days. Now only show one time like it should. I still have one on there from 3/31. The newest one is also on there from 4/5.

I would not go tankless. I don't think I would ever get my money back. We bought the cheapest water heater 32 years ago. I just took a shower with it today. In the summer it and the gas stove use about $5.50 a month in gas.

If it were me I would match them up to a LifeStrategy fund for their age at no cost. Most people can use a 80/20 60/40 or 40/60 fund. That is 95% of what we do here.

I don't. I could downsize but I am in the Midwest and would not save that much money out of the deal. I do know that my cost are low because of it so it is important. But I do not weigh it in my retirement portfolio.

Assuming single filer the top of 4x FPL (cliff) and the top of the 12% marginal bracket are two different numbers. FPL for 1 in household is $12,880 I believe from a simple search. So 4x is $51,520.
