if you lost more than half your portfolio in 3m while the market has gone up, you probably need to stop gambling a lot more than you want a truck. was gambling with some spacs, started at 500K, got up to 1.8 mill, went back down to 750K. still went up like 50ish %? cant complain, but was up 200-300...

The general expectation would be at least some of the longer living individuals would choose to work longer. Some would be forced to work longer out of necessity.
These two groups would skew the retirement age higher.

There is a lot of information on the wiki about investing in general. A fews days time reading is time well spent.
Basic philosophy here at bogleheads is to avoid financial advisors, put money in broad index funds and not have complicated holdings that you shall need advisor for.

IT for a megacorp, very similar plan, at 21k out of which i pay 6k yearly figures. So it is (21000-6000)/12 = 1250 per month that megacorp ponies up.

Coverage for couple + 2 kids

Megacorps are getting stingier and passing on more cost to employees increasingly
