I finally quit the credit card merry-go-round about ten years ago and I settled on a Citi Double Cash for my day to day stuff, Chase AARP for 3% off gas and restaurants, and Chase Freedom for 5% off gas for 3 months.

The direct deposit portion of the "Get my payment" portal finally worked for me. I needed the numbers from lines 8b and 23 from my 2019 Form 1040. Finally.

Consumer Cellular has a variety of older iPhones for sale on its' website. If you go for a refurbished phone I'd buy one through Apple's webstore.

I have a Moto G EXT which is Ok at best. It hasn't been updated since 2016 (Marshmallow). The new iPhone 11 with 128gb is very tempting.

When is the settlement date for the second CD? The settlement date might be a week or two after the purchase date and your order will be open until then. The settlement date is shown on the main order page.

It appears that the auto redemption feature for this card doesn't start until 5000 points have been accumulated. Everything else sounds pretty good though.

I had a Cap One 360 account and they DO issue a debit card, give you $100 after 4 debit card uses and have free ATMs all over (CVS, supermarkets etc).
Was that a Cap One 360 checking account or savings account that had a debit card with it?

I bought a Motorola G EXT a few months ago and so far it's great. The phone cost about $150 and my 200 minutes per month plan with the cheapest data package costs $22 per month. I bought it at Sears in the Consumer Cellular section.

I don't know how to work the system but my recent transfer of a Roth IRA from TRP to Vanguard took 3 weeks. Hopefully your transfer will be complete soon.

If you buy the house you'll have to have it re-wired with copper wire. Did the builder use conduit throughout the house? If he did it shouldn't be that much of a hassle but if they used Romex it could be a real pain. How big is the service? In this day and age you'll want at least a 200 amp service....

Don't forget to put the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody and Jackson Hole on your list. For me, a trip to Yellowstone without going to Jackson Hole (Grand Teton National Park) is unthinkable.

After my wife came to this country I got her a secured credit card from Bank of America. The card was secured for one year after which our deposit was returned with interest.
