Thanks for the reply, I should have known the Whole Life response would come.
I do keep $1.5M in term along with the $500k in whole life. I'm not going to increase the whole life amount, but at this point i'm just hanging onto it.

Portfolio Review - 4 Years Later
First of all, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the valuable contributors to this board. I joined nearly 4 years ago (May 1, 2017) and I've learned so incredibly much since then and my personal finance position is light years better than it was because of the valuable input. Re: Any Acura TLX or RDX owners?
I can't speak to anything recent.... but my wife had an Acura TL, ( I believe it was a 2006) that she loved. It got totaled during Hurricane Sandy, and we bought a new 2013 Acura RDX that we still have today, and I'm the primary driver of. It's got about 75,000 miles on it, but has been absolutely f...

Re: Are you competitive? If so, how do you compete as you get older?
We have a Peloton bike, it allows me to compete against others in my age range on the leaderboard, but more than anything it allows me to compete against myself. If my personal record for a ride is 400 (output measured by speed/resistance), some mornings I wake up and challenge myself to try and top...

What are the distribution requirements? I agree with the poster above who mentions your mortgage rate. You could refi that to a new 30 year at 2.875% and save a bunch per month. Your duration would of course increase, but you could pay more to it when you wanted. This would free up a bunch of cash flow. Alternatively, you could just pay o...
