Curious if there's any academic research out there on the optimal choice between buying a typical primary residence versus investing in a broad index and renting. Especially curious if there's some sort of comparative formula one could use based on today's interest rates and overall market valuations. Yes. 2. If anyone knows the fund, can I accomplish the same objective/return with a much lower cost fund? Or is there benefit to being in a high cost fund like this? Use a mutual fund search tool like Morningstar, Fidelity, Vanguard, etc. and search for technology sector funds and then compare them using their comparison tools. I found this on Morningstar,iShares U.S. Technology ETF (IYW), https://eresearch.fidelity.com/eresearch/evaluate/snapshot.jhtml?symbols=IYW and compared it here, https://fundresearch.fidelity.com/fund-screener/results/compare/management-fees/averageAnnualReturnsYear3/desc/1?order=tickers&tickers=FSPTX%2CSCICX%2CKTCAX%2CROGSX%2CIYW with your SCICX and some other funds that the Fidelity tool suggested as comparables.

And Consumer Reports narrows it down to front seats: (behind a paywall) https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/bu ... 127070094/

Yes, in NC car title transfer from parent to child is exempt from the Highway Use Tax (sales tax for vehicles in NC).chemocean wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 11:51 pm What state is your DD licensed? She will need to have a license from the state she will be registering the vehicle in.
If her license is still from NC, you could probably do it remotely as NC residents ASAP.
Your insurance probably doesn't cover DD's use in IN because 1) she is now longer part of your household or going to school, and 2) seems it is a bit of a stretch to be covered under occasional use by a guest.
Some state allow transfers among family members with no sales tax. NC, IN or CA?

It can be done, the IRS points it out as an advantage of owning your own business.
