Bought a car 1.5 years ago for 7.5K, all on the CC. They did, however, require a hard pull prior to allowing me to do it.

It was well worth the 2% cash back for the pull.

Go for it. The private employer I work at allows a 1-time election per year to cash out at 100%. I do this every year, roughly 150ish hours to ensure I don't go over the accrual cap and stop accruing time.

We are in the same boat.

Max 403B, 457B, Roth x2, HSA, contribute to a 529 and then just plow everything else into taxable. We follow our standard asset allocation between VTI and VXUS.

Just received our annual (tiny) pay increase and upped the taxable contribution to match the additional pay.
