About $600 to H&R Block. I haven’t been happy with them (guy tried to tell me last year that Backdoor IRA is now banned). I’m trying a local firm this year so we’ll see how that goes. I’d normally do them myself but we have K-1 income/losses that I want professional help with.

We definitely prefer the Roku. It has faster response time than the Fire stick, and the software is much better. We like the software so much that we bought a Roku TV for a guest bedroom. The kids also love that you can change the Roku wallpapers and screen savers.

You will need to make the jump to OLED to keep and improve your experience. The black levels are amazing (just bought the Sony OLED).

As previous poster said, QLED is in a lower league than OLED.

I finally finished Uncharted 4 over the holiday break. It only took me 5 years (had 2 kids during that time)!

A couple of the Christmas gifts I received are "Man of Medan" and "Red Dead 2". Looking forward to playing those on our new 77" Sony OLED.

We purchased a Sole elliptical a few months ago. We found a local company that specializes in fitness machine assembly to put it together for us ($250). The assembly company had great things to say about Sole, and not so great things to say about NordicTrack and Bowflex.

You likely won’t see the discounts on these like there used to be. But you can still find deals. For example Best Buy had a deal last month where you would get a $10 BB gift card if you bought a $100 apple gift card. Target did something similar over there summer.

I have friends that split a YTTV sub and seem to love it. As a home theater person, my personal concern is about the lack of Dolby Digital. YTTV only broadcasts in stereo sound apparently. I’m usually a fan of bigger homes, especially since you can easily afford it. But in this case I would just turn the guest bed into a girls bedroom. It’s not worth the move for just 7 or so years. And it’s definitely not worth it if they have to change school zones.

We are under contract on a home and we locked last week at 2.875% with 0.91 pts. That is 30 yr fixed.

We just locked this past week at 2.875% with 0.91 points with Bay Equity. This is on a 30 yr fixed Jumbo for a new home purchase.

We used Wells Fargo on our previous Jumbo. This time the best they could do is 3.0% with 1 pt or 3.375% with zero points.

I also opened up a plan with Utah a few years ago. Just doing a quick search, I still see it ranked as a top plan at Morningstar, Simple Dollar, Investopedia, etc. I see no reason to change.

Anyone have any idea why the Google Wifi and Eero apps are rated so poorly (at least on iOS)? Eero app has a 3.1 rating and Google wifi has a 2.8. The hardware part seems to have terrific reviews everywhere, but I guess some people aren't happy with the iOS apps.

Assuming there's no commute difference, the 40 min location sounds much, much better to me. It has better schools, there's more to do, and it's also cheaper. And 40 min is still close to the parents.
